Call for Applications

HANDS:ON is a new digital training programme for medievalists organised by Cambridge University Library and Queen Mary University of London, which provides advanced students in medieval studies with practical experience in digital methods, technologies, design and collaboration. The theme for 2019 is ‘palimpsests’.

Students from partner institutions will join initial training in preparation for the event, delivered online. Students will then convene for an exciting 5-day event in Cambridge, where they will work alongside peers, developers and curators to develop innovative prototypes for the exploration of medieval manuscripts on the web.

The programme is fully funded, and partner institutions will cover costs of travel, accommodations and most meals.  Check your eligibility and apply now. Applicants with all levels of technical experience (or none) are welcome. Deadline: 31st January 2019.
